We’re so close to protecting the bees in Europe from dangerous neonicotinoid pesticides.
EU governments are expected to vote on a historic ban on these bee-killing pesticides in just a couple of weeks -- but right now the decision hangs in the balance.
Germany’s agricultural minister Christian Schmidt could tip the scales -- but his vote is still a big unknown. He has a history of siding with the industry when push comes to shove, but he also prides himself as a bee protector.
Let’s take him up on his words and make sure he knows that the eyes of bee protectors across Europe are on him.
