The EU could soon open the floodgates to genetically engineered seeds, plants, and food.
Despite overwhelming public opinion in favour of clear labels on all GMO products, the European Commission wants to change the rules for genetically modified crops. If it succeeds, mega-corporations like Bayer Monsanto would be free to sneak these products into our homes and onto our plates without clear risk assessments or labels!
We can’t let this stand.
The good news is our friends at the Aurelia Foundation have an impressive plan to fight back. And together, we can help them launch a massive campaign to ensure that risk assessment remains in place for all genetically modified crops and that all GMO foods must continue to be labelled.
If we can raise the funds, they’ll quickly begin bringing scientists, beekeepers, and farmers together to speak out and mobilising the public to overwhelm public consultations.
It’s going to take all of us to stand up to industry lobbyists desperate to usher in a new GMO era. Can you chip in to stop the genetically engineered floodgates from opening before it’s too late?
