Nestlé wants to suck a million gallons from Florida's Suwannee River every day for free -- to put in plastic bottles and sell for a profit. The area is already drying up and this could be a death blow to the community’s water supply.
Nestlé is acting like a money-hungry bully, thinking it can do what it wants to the people who rely on the waters of the Suwanee. But together, we can put a stop to Nestlé’s profit-hungry plan.
Right now, area residents have a chance to send in an official objection to the plan. Local officials have already said they’re paying attention to growing outrage. Thousands more objections would help kill off Nestlé’s chances of getting the permit.
Residents are already fighting back, but many locals still haven’t heard about the threat from Nestlé yet.
Can you chip in so we can plaster local communities with ads that sound the alarm, calling on more people to object?
