In December, SumOfUs filed a Freedom of Information (FOI) request with the UK’s Home Office. The subject: British Airways and its role in the forced deportation of migrants and asylum seekers, including persecuted LGBTQ people.
They just got back to us, and -- surprise! -- they’re siding with the powerful corporation and refusing to tell us anything. They’re worried the answers will hurt BA’s profits. Which makes it all the more important that we get them.
And together, we will. But it can't happen without your help.
Our next step is to appeal -- and if that doesn’t work, we might even end up in court. The appeal process can be long, complex and costly, which is why we're reaching out to you right now. We can’t afford an army of lawyers like BA, but if enough members like you chip in just a little bit, we can get expert legal advice and push the HO to release the info.
Can you chip in to end British Airways’ role in unfair deportations?
