Right now, thousands of Indigenous people from across Brazil are descending on their capital to fight to save the Amazon – and they need our help.
Since Brazil’s far-right President Jair Bolsonaro took office, he’s fast-tracked deforestation in Indigenous-held regions. It’s now at the highest level in a decade…and it’s about to get even worse.
Bolsonaro is working day and night to pass a new law that would open sacred Indigenous lands to commercial mining, destroying vast swaths of the majestic Amazon rainforest.
200 different Indigenous groups are fighting back, organising a massive protest camp THIS WEEK to save their land. But organisers just sounded a SOS: they desperately need funds to shelter, feed, and care for thousands of people coming from across the country to fight to save their homes.
This powerful Indigenous protest camp might be our best chance at defeating Bolsonaro’s dangerous Amazon-killing law. Can you chip in to help make it a success?
