One year. That’s how long corporations have to stop using palm oil that destroys rainforests and forces orangutans out of their homes.
PepsiCo. McDonald’s. Unilever. And more. They all made a public promise to clean up their palm oil act by 2020 -- and they’re all hoping you won’t notice as that deadline whizzes by, rainforests keep burning, and orangutans keep dying.
But we have a huge chance to let them know we won’t let them get away with it.
All the industry players are gathering in Thailand next month for the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil, where they’ll make excuses about why they’ve been letting forests burn in exchange for a dirt-cheap product.
This conference is exclusive -- and expensive. But if you chip in now, SumOfUs will be able to take a seat at the table and hold greedy execs to account for the devastation they’ve caused.
