CETA is toxic. Unfortunately, I mean that quite literally.
As if we needed another reason to fight CETA tooth and nail, European Commission minutes just revealed that Canada has used the trade deal negotiations to weaken EU regulation of dangerous chemicals.
The deal hasn’t even been implemented yet -- and is already impacting public health regulation.
In less than a month, the European Parliament will vote on CETA. Let’s use these outrageous news to get our representatives most concerned about public health to speak out against the disastrous trade deal -- the parliamentarians in the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI).
ENVI's disapproval of CETA would send a powerful message to other parliamentarians -- a message key to winning the final vote on CETA in the European Parliament.
