Nestlé sucks up millions of litres a day from the rightful land of an Indigenous nation. And many families on the Indigenous reservation don’t even have access to fresh water.
Sadly, this is not a new story. From Michigan to California to France, Nestlé preys on small communities, bottles up their water and sells it for billions in profits. But everywhere Nestlé rears its head, SumOfUs members like you show up to send it a clear message that it can’t get away with sucking communities dry.
Now we need your help again in Canada, where our partners at Wellington Water Watchers are going to court to protect Ontario’s water from Nestlé’s greed. They’re tackling the issue from every angle: challenging municipal by-laws, working to declare water a human right and protecting Indigenous access to water.
But these legal battles cost thousands and we can’t make them happen without your help.
Can you pitch in to stop Nestlé’s greedy water taking in Ontario?
