Two years from now, more than HALF the people in the world will live in areas without enough fresh water. Yet every single day, corporate water giants get away with devastating the world’s water supply to maximize their profits.
From mining companies polluting entire communities’ water supplies, to beverage companies siphoning off billions of liters to bottle and sell for profit – this is a water emergency. And we’ve got a plan to fix it.
For 10 years, SumOfUs has been backing local communities to take on water thieving mega-corporations -- and win. We pay legal fees so they can take giants like Nestle to court, power organizing efforts and direct actions to shut down water plants, and use the strength of our millions-strong movement to keep this story in the media.
It’s worked everywhere from Canada and India to New Zealand and the United States. But more and more local communities are coming to us from all over the world, asking for our help.
To meet the vast need, we need to scale up. And fast. Can you help us invest in local communities to protect our most precious resource?
