Bees are officially fish. At least under California law – where more honey bees live than almost anywhere else in North America!
Honey bees desperately need protection from habitat destruction, but the laws that protect endangered species (including fish) don't mention bees. So one brave and enterprising judge has ruled: bees are fish and deserve our help.
But the decision is already being challenged and could be overturned by conservative courts any day! That’s why we need to go all out right now – using the new ruling to protect as much bee habitat as possible as fast as possible before this important safeguard goes away.
If we all chip in, we can use this moment to supercharge the fight to protect bees in California and beyond – funding a wave of local habitat protections, strengthening grassroots advocacy efforts, and supporting the legal push to preserve this vital ruling.
Literally hundreds of thousands of hives could be saved. Can you chip in today to protect bees?
