This week you and I became the official owners of the Trans Mountain pipeline. Canadian taxpayers are now on the line for $4.5 billion -- but that’s nothing in comparison with the construction and permitting costs estimated at a staggering $10 billion, and that’s a conservative estimate.
As well as costing you and me billions the pipeline violates Indigenous rights, trashes our environment and threatens our future. But together we can stop this pipeline for good -- after all we own it.
All along the proposed route First Nation communities are fighting tooth and nail to oppose it -- and now there are 14 legal cases being filed to stop it in court, for good.
But the First Nations’ heading to court don’t have access to the resources of Kinder Morgan or the federal government. But if enough of us chip in we can ensure First Nations can continue paying for the best lawyers without bankrupting their communities.
Will you chip in to stop the Trans Mountain pipeline for good?
