Work together to end the subsidized clear cutting primary forest for wood pellets used in electricity generation. More specially, Canadian and British SumOfUs members are calling for Drax to stop the use of whole logs from primary forests for electricity generation immediately. We are also calling for the British government to stop giving “green energy” subsidies to Drax until it stops using whole logs for power generation, and revise the green subsidy program to stop including climate destroying wood pellets burning. Finally, we are calling on the BC government to keep its 2020 election promise and conserve what’s left of the province’s old growth forest, starting with the regulations of wood pellets for power generation now.
