Imagine majestic sun bears with their ribs sticking out, eating their own faeces. This is just one of many horrible realities of animals at the Bandung Zoo in West Java, Indonesia.
The Bandung Zoo has a long history of animal neglect and abuse and temporarily closed last year after the death of a Sumatran elephant who was discovered with bruises on its body.
It's time the zoo shut down permanently and these animals were freed from a life of neglect and abuse.
International pressure is mounting. Media is now paying closer attention to the issue and all over TripAdvisor the reviews tell horror stories of mistreatment. If we overwhelm Bandung Zoo with public outcry they will have to close down.
Tell Bandung Zoo to permanently shut its doors.
