Russia was banned the day after Putin invaded Ukraine. Eurovision is carrying out a double-standard by not banning Israel too.
While a ceasefire resolution just passed the UN Security Council and brings some hope for reprieve, it was only possible after vast amounts of public pressure. Now with so much uncertainty ahead, we must keep up that pressure until we see a permanent end to the violence.
32,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, and hundreds of thousands of people are on the brink of starvation. The only way we can end the horror unfolding in Gaza is if we keep speaking out and demanding action.
