AT&T takes pride in “mobilizing your world,” by bringing people together across the globe to transcend race, nationality, or religion. Sounds like an amazing mission right? Not so much, when the corporation is also supporting racist, sexist, and xenophobic hate speech by advertising on Breitbart News.
The ultra right-wing website promotes white nationalist
propaganda and is home to some of the worst hate-mongering on the internet.
AT&T can’t be serious about connecting the world while helping Breitbart to sow seeds of prejudice.
Even more horrifying, Breitbart’s
dream is to spread its venom across the world by expanding into France, Germany
and Italy in time for pivotal elections this year. They can only do this if
they continue to generate revenue from advertising.
This is where the
people have the power. Sign the petition and tell AT&T to cut the cord and
stop advertising on Breitbart News.
Breitbart’s headlines are beyond disturbing. From encouraging fat-shaming and
disparaging feminism, to relentless attacks on racial minorities and LGBTQ
people—their hateful rhetoric knows no boundaries.
As global citizens, we can use our muscle can fight to make
a difference. Join us in battling discrimination and bigotry. Let’s start by
shutting down Breitbart.
