Three million people in California are without reliable access to safe, clean, and affordable drinking water. That's more people than all of Los Angeles.
Due to rising inequality, climate change, and big industries' over-pumping and poisoning of groundwater, millions of Californians are having to take drastic, inhumane measures to ensure their families have water. One family is even getting their water from a local duck pond.
Even with Governor Jerry Brown's emergency drought relief action last year, over $320 million of those funds have gone unspent, and more and more families are without clean water.
This is unacceptable, and it's on our state leaders to take real action to assist the millions of Californians without water.
