In the mountains of Costa Rica there’s a haven for stray dogs — nearly 2000 of them!
Territorio de Zaguates (“Land of the Strays”) believes every dog deserves a second chance, and they’ve devoted themselves to caring for as many as they can — mutts, purebreds, seniors, puppies…they take them all in off the streets.
But the truth is, they’re working on a shoestring. The pandemic has slowed donations to a drip, food prices are soaring, and there’s now just 5 staff to look after 2000 dogs! They do everything they can to give them each love and care…but they’re stretched past the breaking point.
That’s why they’re asking for our help — to double up the size of their staff and be able to give even more dogs the loving, caring home they deserve.
$36 is enough to shelter, feed, and give vet care to a dog for a month — can you chip in to help?
